This location of Amici's is not my favorite. The food was okay. We ordered a variety of small pizzas (all very greasy), chicken parmigiana (burnt and over cooked), chicken wings (not very fresh), and break sticks (best item) ordered.
I've been to different locations over the years and it seems that this location was an after thought.
During our visit the manager sat along with a cook directly behind us. She barked out orders to staff in Spanish while drinking a glass of red wine.
Nothing wrong with wine, or a cocktail as long as it's not during work hours. Management here needs to spend time focusing on food quality, not drinking wine and barking out orders to employees.
As an executive of a company, I would never tolerate this of my team.
In the future, I would visit other Amici locations and avoid San Mateo. -

I've ordered these guys for delivery twice now so I can give an honest all around opinion. As stated in previous reviews, I have grown up in the pizza business and consider myself a subject matter expert.
Sorry not sorry, but brick oven roasted at over 500 degrees doesn't make up for the skimpy toppings and SUPER light overall weight of the pie. Their oven does provide for a great crisp crust and the pizzas are perfectly cooked every time. The pizzas are aesthetically pleasing and their delivery has been quick. The only saving grace from a ONE star review is their Caesar salad dressing, very very good; you can actually taste the anchovies and garlic(unlike most Caesar dressings at pizza spots).
The price for delivery, oh lordy, two mini pizzas and a Caesar salad 60 shekels! That is including tip and delivery fee(which is now rare in the pizza business). I mean my wife's MINI 4 topping pizza was $18.50, we aren't in an airport or at a 5 star Italian restaurant. The wife and I were still hungry after our expensive meal and were reduced opening up the salted fancy nuts we got from Costco the week before for dessert. We could have ordered two large pizza from basically any other local pizza place for that price, actually gotten full, and had leftovers for a week!
Unless I hit the lotto, I will never eat here again. The pizza is not bad but the price for value ratio is just too overwhelming for an average Joe like me. -

Great place for New York style thin crust pizza! I recommend getting your pizza with light crust, otherwise it's a bit burnt on the bottom.
They recently added Mac'n cheese to their menu and I was excited to try. I ordered just the plain Mac'n cheese and felt disappointed. The excessive bread crumbs didn't add any value and seemed to lessen the cheesiness. With that said, the add-ons might have made the dish better. In my opinion, I think the Mac'n cheese needed other cheeses and could be slightly baked on top to give the bread crumbs a better crunch. -

We have ordered from Amicci's for many years, but not recently, and will not for some time. Something is wrong there, or at least was wrong this evening (Sunday at 5:35PM).
Our order: large plain crust, extra sauce, no cheese, Italian sausage, artichoke hearts. It came to $40.72 including tax. The quote was 35-45 minutes. It arrived almost exactly one hour after our call ended, luke warm. We gave a $5 tip, bringing our cost to $46.
We put our own cheese on it and heated it up. The attached picture tells the whole story. Definitely not what we expected or had experienced in the past.
I'm not saying don't order from Amicci's. Their dough is still the best around. Just consider giving some other place a try. We are.
